I have been painting and drawing portraits for over 20 years. I love the challenge of conveying the spirit of my subject and the joy that the finished artwork brings to people. I believe that a good portrait conveys far more character than a photo can, and I’m happy to say I’ve never yet had an unhappy customer. My portraits are usually painted in oils on linen canvas, which provides a beautifully smooth surface for rendering detail, or drawn in chalks and pastels on coloured paper.
