A Triceratops Named Flower
I spent a lot of time in April and May making a giant triceratops head. This was to decorate the front of a float for our younger son’s nursery, Little Ducklings, for Garstang Children’s Festival. With hindsight I should probably have chosen a dinosaur without horns. We won second prize which was amazing 😀 The base is made of a wood frame, covered with chicken wire to give it shape. Next was a layer of mod roc plaster bandages to cover the frame. Painting almost complete. I used acrylic because it sticks onto anything and is waterproof. Jamie was very proud of Mummy’s Dinosaur and named her Flower The big day – about to start the procession at Garstang Children’s Festival Some baby dinosaurs inside the float Gill who runs Little Ducklings Nursery walked all the way round Garstang twice in this inflatable dino costume and fully earned her prize
