“Wow! Fantastic! It’s looking gorgeous!”  Erik Patel, SAVA Conservation Project Director, Duke Lemur Center. Commissioned poster design and illustration of Marojejy National Park, 2014

“Your posters are glorious!  It is such a joy to see them!”  Alison Jolly, primatologist and conservationist, author of the Ako Project storybooks

I graduated with a First Class degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration at Blackpool and the Fylde School of Art in 2004, and have since developed extensive experience in the specialised field of natural history illustration. Clients include Duke University Primate Center, Jersey Zoo, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, UNICEF, McCrae Conservation and Education Fund. I gained a Silver Gilt medal for Botanical Artwork  from the Royal Horticultural Society in 2010 for a series of illustrations of seeds commissioned by Jelitto Perennial Seeds.

I’ve undertaken several commissions for conservation and environmental education projects based in Madgascar, notably The Ako Project, which provides storybooks and posters for Malagasy schoolchildren. I have a real passion for Madagascar’s fantastic wildlife and welcoming people and hope to visit again soon.

I would be delighted to hear from you if you have a project requiring a natural history illustrator. You can find out more about the process of commissioning an illustration or custom artwork here, or contact me directly.
