A contemporary metal wall hanging featuring a shoal of fish, made from steel which has been tempered to give a beautiful rainbow effect. To create the patina I used a gas torch to heat the metal. It’s an amazing process, like painting with fire, and each piece is completely unique. I then apply a layer of clear acrylic spray to seal and protect the surface.

In order to ensure the longevity of the rainbow patina it is recommended to display the artwork indoors. I also make the design in stainless steel, which is perfect for display outdoors.

The artwork is made to last from 2 mm stainless steel and is supplied with an ‘invisible’ hanging system using two strong magnets. Please note drilling is required to attach the magnets to the wall (screws are provided).
