Bring the quiet character of the tawny owl into your home with this contemporary steel wall sculpture. Designed to capture the owl’s unmistakable expression using clean, flowing lines, the piece is understated yet full of personality.

Each owl is laser cut from 2 mm mild steel, before being hand polished and carefully tempered using a gas torch in my workshop studio. This creates a unique iridescent patina, with rich blues, bronzes and violet tones that shimmer and change subtly as the light moves. It’s an amazing process, like painting with fire. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, making each owl truly one of a kind.

I design and finish every piece myself, working alone from my studio in the UK. From the initial design through to the finishing process, each artwork is individually crafted with care rather than mass produced. Whether displayed in a living room, hallway, study or garden room, this minimalist owl brings a quiet elegance and a touch of British wildlife to your space.

The artwork is supplied with an easy to use  ‘invisible’ hanging system of strong magnets and screws. Please note drilling is required to attach the two magnets to the wall (screws are provided).

In order to ensure the longevity of the rainbow patina I recommend displaying tempered metal artwork indoors. I also make the owl design in rusted steel, which is perfect for displaying outdoors.
