This large original oil painting is of the salt marsh on the edge of Morecambe Bay, looking across towards the Lakeland hills in the north.
I painted it after a walk there on an overcast day in summer, inspired by the beautiful muted shades of greys and greens (It wasn’t the best summer!). I used palette knives, which give an impressionistic, semi abstract effect. The painting is unframed but ready to hang.
The painting measures 60 x 46 cm.
