This limited edition Giclee print is a high quality reproduction of an acrylic painting. It shows the view looking west from the top of Nicky Nook, a small fell on the edge of the Forest of Bowland in North Lancashire. From this vantage point you get sweeping views over Wyresdale towards the Lune Estuary and Morecambe Bay, and can see all the hedges criss-crossing the bright green fields. This was painted in October, a dark afternoon, but stray sunbeams from a leaden sky were highlighting the rusty golden hedges and trees, and illuminating patches on the fields.
The print is numbered and hand signed. My name as seen on the bottom of the digital file is for copyright purposes only, this is not present on the actual print. The image is generated from a high resolution digital scan of my original oil painting and is printed on 315gsm 100% cotton rag fine art paper, giving it a textured and authentic feel. The Giclee printing process provides high colour accuracy and archival quality inks ensure that the prints will not fade over time.
