This acrylic painting showing a group of three inquisitive sheep in the Forest of Bowland, near Nicky Nook. Sheep are one of my favourite subjects to draw and paint. This lot were completely unabashed by me and my dog; in fact they proceeded to follow us along for a while! In late summer the rough moorland grass is full of rich orange and golden hues which were echoed by the afternoon sunlight highlighting the sheep. Lower down the valley the pasture appears vivid emerald in contrast.
This painting is framed in a pale wooden frame which measures 42 x 37 cm (16.5 x 14.5″).
