Drawing 3, drawn yesterday early afternoon, is of Canada geese, shelduck, and Ashby. It was mid tide, breathlessly still, muggy, with thunder in the distance. Not many birds around. Drawing 4 from this morning is a watercolour study of the water at the turn of the tide, painted using river water. I don’t think its particularly good but I quite enjoyed the challenge of painting mud colours, with mud water using a set of watercolours that doesn’t have any brown.
