The darkest time of year often has the best light.
Actually, the ‘bad’ weather we’ve generally had all year has resulted in spectacular skies, particularly lovely later in the day. I think sunsets are particularly amazing here because of Morecambe Bay, a vast expanse of shallow water and mud that acts like a mirror. The near constant stream of depressions sweeping in off the Atlantic mean that we almost always have interesting clouds.
